Best of Nepal tour covers important and significant sites of Nepal. This is a glimpse of Nepal which covers Temples of Kathmandu, Monuments, Flora and Fauna, and Pokhara. This tour takes you through the main attractions of Kathmandu which includes various religious and cultural sites of Kathmandu such as Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Bouddhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

This tour also gives you an opportunity to explore different regions of Nepal, the cultural city of Pokhara with wonderful scenery of Annapurna range and famous lakes, waterfalls, Caves and Museum. Then, visit lowland to explore flora and fauna at Chitwan National Park in Terai region.

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu

Upon arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport, we will greet you and take you to your Hotel.  We meet later on that day or the following day ( as per your convenient) to take you to our head office to brief you on your upcoming tour with us. If your flight arrives before dinner time, we will take you to one of the most popular local restaurants with delicious Nepalese food, cultural music and ethnic dance. This will give you a glimpse into the different ethnic groups of the country. If you arrive late in the evening we can do this the next day. 

Day 02: Explore day in Kathmandu

After breakfast, you will begin a city tour of Kathmandu where you will see the main attractions of the valley. On this tour you will visit the Boudhnath Stupa, Pashupatinath temple, Swyambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), and Kathmandu Durbar Square (the old palace). After finishing the city tour, we will meet again to check your clothing and trekking equipment (sleeping bag, down jacket and trekking boots). Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive to Chitwan

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Royal Chitwan National Park which is 5 hours drive. After check in to your hotel, welcome drink and followed by lunch then we will take you to visit Tharu village where you can meet Tharu people and its museum.  After sunset tour at the river you will be entertained with Tharu stick dance around the bonfire and different cultural shows performed by Tharu which is a popular ethnic group of Nepal. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 04: Explore day in Chitwan

After breakfast, you will spend a full day of safari activities, canoeing ride and visit the elephant breeding centre in Chitwan National Park. If time permits, we will take you to view many amazing annimals suc as rhinos, Chitwan's royal Bengal tiger, leopards, monkeys, different types of deer and reptiles, including jungle walk. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 05: Drive to Pokhara

Before breakfast, we will take you to bird watching tour. After breakfast, we drive to Pokhara (4 hours) with beautiful scenery on the way - mountain terrain, waterfalls, jungles and many small towns. After you arrive Pokhara, you will see the Annapurna panorama views with beautiful lake. In the evening, walk around the lake and overnight at the hotel.

Day 06: Explore day in Pokhara

After breakfast, proceed for city tour to visit a famous water fall, Gupteswor cave, Fewa lake, Bindabasani temple, Seti river gorge and museum. You will have an excellent view of Annapurnas from the city and we will have an hour boating trip around the lake. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07: Sunrise at Sarangkot and Drive to Kathmandu.

Early morning, drive to Sarangkot to watch sunrise with panoramic views of Annapurnas. Drive down to Pokhara Hotel for breakfast and then drive (or option for flight) to Kathmandu. It is a scenic drive through Prithivi Highway. Arrives in Kathmandu in late afternoon and we will enjoy our last night dinner together. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 08: Departure day from Kathmandu

Today is the last day of the trip with us. If you would like to extend your holiday with us, you can. Otherwise we will take you to the airport as per your departure time.

Nepal is a land locked country which lies in between India and China. It is one of the richest countries in the world in terms of bio-diversity due to its unique geographical position and altitude variation. Winter months: - (December, January and February) are also good, but it’s colder.

Summer: - Monsoon and visibility can be an issue (from Mid June, July and August).
People: Nepal has more than 91 ethnic groups and 70 different spoken languages.
What to Wear: Lightweight clothing is recommended for May through October. An umbrella or raincoat is a must for the rainy season (June to August)
Climate: Nepal’s climate varies according to elevation. The Terai of Southern Nepal has a tropical monsoon climate characterized by rainy summers and the southwest winds of the monsoon, and almost dry winters. 
Postal Services: The Central Post Office is located near Dharahara Tower, and open from 9 am to 5 pm. Monday to Friday. The counters are open from 7 am to 4 pm. and provide stamps, postcards and aerogram. Post Restate is available from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Express Mail Service (EMS ) is available at GPO and at Thamel, Basantapur and airport postal counters.
Telephone Services:
Telephone, fax, telex and telegraph services are available at the Nepal Telecommunications Corporation at Tripureshwar. Hotels and private communications centers provide long distance telephone. For calling from outside, country code for Nepal is 00977 and the area code for Kathmandu is 1. You can buy a local sim card while in Nepal.
Internet Services:
There are several Internet cafes and communication centers in the Valley and around the country. E-mail and Internet services are also offered by hotels in the city like Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan and in major cities.
Major towns have electricity and the voltage available is 220-volts and 50 cycles. Load shedding is sometimes experienced. However, most major hotels have their own generators.
Medical Services:
A wide variety of medicines are available in Kathmandu. Many general hospitals and private clinics are available in major cities. Health posts are set up by the government in different parts of rural Nepal.
Meals and Accommodation:
We use good hotel to ensure a comfortable stay. There are many different restaurants in the city. Rooms are generally twin share - depending on group size and room availability, triple share may be offered upon your request. While on the tour, the hotels provide good quality and delicious food. A typical breakfast includes porridge, cereal, toast or chapattis, omelet and a range of hot drinks.

Insurance: A travel insurance policy that covers theft, loss and medical treatment is recommended. Make sure the insurance also covers the activities that you will be undertaking during your stay in Nepal such as trekking, rafting.

Vaccination is highly recommended prior to your trip to Nepal. Hepatitis A, Japanese Encephalitis, Polio, Rabies, Tetanus, Typhoid and Malaria etc. are the recommended vaccination for Nepal.
Medical Kit:
A simple but adequate medical kit can be very useful while traveling. The following items are recommended: Aspirin or Panadol - for pain or fever; Antihistamine - as a decongestant for colds, allergies and to help prevent motion sickness; Antibiotics - useful if traveling off beaten track but they must be prescribed; Kaolin preparation (Pepto-Bismol), Imodium or Lomotil – for stomach upsets; Rehydration mixture - for treatment of severe diarrhoea; Antiseptic, mercurochrome and antibiotic powder or similar 'dry' spray - for cuts and grazes.
Other things to be included are:
Calamine lotion to ease irritation from bites or stings, bandages and band aids for minorinjuries, scissors, tweezers, thermometer, insect repellent, sun block lotion, chopsticks, water purification tablets, throat lozenges (Strepsils), moleskin, Sulamyd 10% eye drops, Acetaminophen (Paracetamol, Antacid tablets).
General Knowledge:
It would be hard to know all aspects of Nepal’s health problems. However, it would be useful togather information on altitude sickness (AMS), diarrhoea, giardia, dysentery, cholera, hepatitis rabies, typhoid, tetanus, meningitis diphtheria, malaria and HIV/AIDS Common sense can often save lives.

Nepal visa is very easy to obtain; you may buy your Nepal visa at your nearest Nepalese Consulate or Mission offices abroad or buy this upon on arrival to Kathmandu international airport as per your convenient. You have to have 2 passport size photographs, Visa fees in US cash & valid passport at least for 6 months valid at the starting of the trip. Nationals of SAARC countries and China do not need visa when visiting Nepal. Indian nationals do not require visa. Transit visa is provided for foreign nationality for 3 days. Visa must be obtained for staying over the initial period of three days. Currently, foreign national can obtain Nepalese visa from the following border.
